80TH ANNIVERSARY DINNER
Pestana Chelsea Hotel, London - 26 March 2019
Our gala dinner hosted by the President of the Society, His Excellency Manuel Lobo Antunes, Portuguese Ambassador to the UK in the presence of Lord Bourne of Aberystwyth, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State, Minister for Faith and Communities.
Amongst our distinguished guests we welcomed the Portuguese Consul General, Dra. Cristina Pucarinho and the former Portuguese international striker Nuno Gomes.
120 guest joined us to raise £5,000 for the charities: A Causa da Criança and Associação Ajuda de Berço.
The Anglo-Portuguese Society also received letters congratulating its achievements from Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the President of Portugal, Prime Minister Theresa May, and Dionísio Pestana, President of the Pestana Group.
We also awarded José António Galaz, with Honorary Life Membership to the Society for all his years of service to the Portuguese community in London and support of the Society.
